She’s been recognized as a Lifetime Achievement awardee by the City of Jacksonville and a Citizen Diplomat of the Year. She received the Officer of HOPE Award from the American Civility Association, was named Victim’s Advocate of the Year, served as Grand Marshal of the Puerto Rican & Hispanic Parade, been named a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, an EVE Award finalist by The Florida Times-Union, the 2020 Spirit of Community Award recipient from the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, a 2021 Volunteers in Medicine Woman of Heart recipient, and more.
